GAVI DI GAVI ROVERETO VIGNAVECHHIA, DOCG, CASTELLARI BERGAGLIO – Piedmont, Italy
Honeysuckle and a touch of almond on the nose, on the palate it is wonderfully soﬅ and unctuous with deep, rich, mouth-watering fuit. A remarkable Gavi.
SANCERRE BLANC, DOMAINE SERGE LALOUE – Loire Valley, France
Notes of stony minerals and lemon give this wine beautiful structure. Balanced by a fuity roundness, it has a long ﬁnish marked by hints of citrus fuit.
CHABLIS 1ER CRU, MONT DE MILIEU, DOMAINE DE LA MEULIÈRE – Burgundy, Franc
This wine has lovely concentration. Te fesh fuit ﬂavours develop over time into honey and truﬄe cream characters, all with exceptionally balanced length.
FINE RED WINE
AMARONE DELLE VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO, DOC,
CANTINE LENOTTI – Verona, Italy
Dry, warm, full bodied and intense wine; its ﬂavours and scents are emphasised by the very long period of aging in oak barrels.
BAROLO, GIRIBALDI – Piedmont, Italy
This Barolo has a wonderful nose of red fuit, strawberry and cherry with a hint of white pepper. On the palate its dry with plenty of red fuit ﬂavour, nuances of vanilla, spice and pepper. It is wonderfully elegant having spent two years in oak barrels.
DOMAINE DE FONTAVIN – Rhone Valley, France
This organic Chateauneuf-du-Pape is unusually soﬅ and approachable. Notes of sweet, red fuit fom mouth-ﬁlling Grenache grapes plus coﬀee and spice fom the elegant Syrah, balance perfectly together in a long, silky mouthfull.
SAINT EMILION, Grand Cru CHÂTEAU TOUR CHANTECAILLE – Bordeaux, France
The estate lies on the border with Pomerol only 400m fom Chateau Petrus. The wine is meaty, rather complex with smokey notes. Full bodied and well structured with soﬅ tannins and aromatic with a long ﬁnish of mature fuit and hints of cocoa.
